For the last few years Google Earth has slowly been improving. I never though it was all that important or useful until I was up late one night unable to sleep. I got on Google maps and was looking at home from the street view. I then realized that I could look at Google Earth right in my browser. I opened it up and I was suddenly seeing buildings in 3d right on the maps. I went searching around my old home town and noticed my own Elementary school was built in 3d! Almost every building in downtown Salt Lake City was there as if in real life. I couldn't believe it. Much of the work comes from people who probably have more time on their hands than they know what to do with or they are just really good and really fast. Keep up the good work whoever it is that makes our world in 3d. More pictures after the break.
